An ethereal without capturing ability will be built just follow the instructions for Cygwin in README.win32. If the option "--without-pcap" is set, not a capturing ethereal, but a viewing ethereal will be built. Pcap must be installed to support capturing.
The winpcap can be found at http://winpcap.polito.it/, libpcap is avaliable at http://www.tcpdump.org/.
My libpcap isntallation is not succeed because Cygwin does not have ioctl library. Is there some way to obtain this library, or if someone has successfully installed libpcap under Cygwin? Thanks in advance.
