For what it's worth Guy's one frame capture file crashes Ethereal 9.5 on
WinXP SP1.  

tethereal can read the file OK 
D:\t>tethereal -r gprs.pcap
  1 218   0.000000 100.100.100.200 -> 100.100.100.100 GTP 3386 3386
Identification response 

But "tethereal -V -r gprs.pcap" crashes with good ol' exception code
0xc0000005
