Hi list,

I tried to build from source tarball and
got:
  checking build system type... Invalid configuration
`sparc-sun-solaris2.6': machine `sparc-sun' not recognized
from configure.

In config.log I find:

configure:1779: checking build system type
configure:1799: error: /bin/ksh ./config.sub
^[]0;ag70484@sls4ev^G:sparc-sun-solaris2.6 failed

which loks strange to me especially after I tried
to do 
echo "ac_config_sub    :$ac_config_sub"
echo "ac_cv_build_alias:$ac_cv_build_alias"
in configure script
Output:
ac_config_sub    :/bin/ksh ./config.sub
ac_cv_build_alias:sparc-sun-solaris2.6

from command line:
$ /bin/ksh ./config.sub sparc-sun-solaris2.6
sparc-sun-solaris2.6
$echo $?
0


While build worked like a charm with 0.9.6 I cannot see 
what I am missing now.

I tried the same on a solaris 8 system and configure
passed without any problems.

I can send any additional info needed.

Any help is much appreciated.
