Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] Can't get SNMP MIBs to install

I have Windows XP PRO installed..
 
I installed the  WinPcap 2.3 beta as mentioned
 
I wasn't able to install ethereal 0.9.1 if all the selected components were checked
 
The SNMP MIBs wants to be installed in the " C " drive...
 
( looks like the " C " drive is hard coded into the installation code )
( this code should accept the drive letter that was specified earlier )
( and install were ethereal is being installed....                             )
 
I don't have a " C " drive..
 
My drive letters start with " F "
 
I unselected / unchecked the SNMP MIBs and ethereal installed successfully
 
I'm new to packet capturing and analysis....
 
Do the SNMP MIBs help in the capturing of packets?
 
Do the SNMP MIBs help in reading the captured packets?

I've attached a file that shows etheral failing to install because the
MIBs want to be installed in drive " C "...
 
Apparently drive " C " is hard coded...  The code should be re-written
to install in the same location as ethereal is....
