Hello all.

I'm running Ethereal 0.8.18 on Win2k SP2.

I mainly do web development on my notebook. At times I
use Ethereal to sniff HTTP traffic in order to debug my
web applications

However, running the web app locally on my notebook does not
generate any network traffic to my network card, so ethereal
cannot capture the data I desire.

My solution is to access the web app on the notebook from an
internet browser on my desktop machine over the local lan
(basically these 2 machines plugged into a hub).

Is there any way to setup Ethereal to capture local traffic?

My first idea is to install the MS Loopback Adapter, then
select that adapter in the "interface" when I start an
Ethereal capture session.

Does anyone have a clue how to accomplish the capturing of
data that doesn't get broadcast over the network?

Thanks!
