I've just spent 15 minutes looking for where to report bugs or problems, without
finding any clear statement about it.
This list is mentioned, but seems not to be the perfect place for it, as it's described as
a list where other readers/users provide the answers. None of the other lists are
mentioned as useful for bug-reports either. Still, I can't find any better place, so here goes.
I've just sniffed some SNMP traffic (src: 1745, dst: 161). This is decoded as
MS Proxy Protocol, probably because of the src port. But there seems to be no way I
can override this, and force SNMP decoding. Specifying 'decode as' for UDP dst port
161 does not take -- I assume src port takes precedence.
And as there's no way to disable decoding based on source port (I can only shift it
to something else), I'm stuck: I can't look at these SNMP packets, though I can get
a lot of problem reports from other protocol decoders.
This is clearly a bug. I know how to get around it, and I suppose I will have to
do it the hard way, unless I can coax the sending process to use a non-decoded port
in some way.
If this is *not* the right place for this kind of report, please let me know.
