Hi Darren,
     I was able to sniff packets under Win 2K. I was
however using the Orinoco silver card. To put this
card into promiscous mode, you need to download the
driver from the airopeek website and then you are all
set to go. You can then see all the packets in that
WLAN (i.e. you can see the packets being exchanged
between another host in the WLAN and the AP) but you
can't see any control/mngt frames:(. The website for

I am certain that the Cisco Aironet350 can do Raw
802.11….just that my linux is still too raw to get it
right.
You can’t do that in Win2k bcos of the drivers.
I asked that before and was kindly enlightened by Guy
Harris and a few others.
