Hi,
in Linux or other Unix's you will be able to select the 'lo' or similar name
device, and dump all the traffic delivered to the localhost (even the
X-window protocol primitives if you are running any graphical environment).
I'm afraid it's not available under Windows, you will only see Ethernet or
whatever device you have physically attached to the computer (including PPP
or other), not the localhost although it works
