I'd like Ethereal to identify RTP traffic; I've read the answers to this
questions, stating that, provided that no port identity has been
officially reserved for RTP, Ethereal has no means of identifying RTP
inside the UDP packet, so it will merely show an UDP packet. The method
is, then, to have a signalling protocol such as MGCP which 'tells'
Ethereal which port identity to look for RTP data.

That's OK, but I'd like to know if there is some way or another of
telling Ethereal that my RTP frames are in the port XXX (some port). A
simple selection for RTP traffic in the Edit -> Preferences selection
window will be fine for that purpose.

Do you know whether anything like this is to be implemented?

Kind regards,
J. Gomez
