Yup, I figured I was mis-interpreting something! I understood the
"non-capture" behaviour to be related to saving/restoring capture
*files*; I figured it might mean that you simply couldn't post-process
live displays. Wrong ;). OK, now I understand. The non-capture mode
distribution isn't very useful without a pre-existing capture file.
