Packet loss:

Two recordings, one at transmitter one at receiver.
-On transmitter recording filter out all packets with source=transmitter and
dest = receiver.  
-Count number of packets "tcpdump -r foofiletx | wc"
-On receiver recording run the same filter
-Count packets
-Discrepancy in the counts will be packet loss in the Tx -> Rx direction
-Reverse source and destination address and repeat for the Rx -> Tx loss count
