Can you run xlsfonts? It comes with XFree86 and Solaris (probably many
others).
I have Exceed on my NT system, and with the display pointing at the PC:
xlsfonts -fn -*-lucida-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
gives me a list of 64 variants, 16 each of medium-r, medium-I, bold-r and
bold-r
xlsfonts -fn -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
gives me 993 variants from which to choose.
xfontsel (if you have it) will let you try all available fonts.

Andrew Hood

In fact, it appears to be truly horrible on my NT machine at work - if I
run
ethereal -m fixed
there, the font isn't even fixed-width!
