Hi,
I tried the installing the NT download version of the ethereal protocol analyzer
@ zing.org on my Win NT server V4.0 Svc pack 5. I don't think it installed
properly for 2 reasons.
the install program asked for the Win NT CD to be put into drive A: ??
Impossible
and there is no drop down list of ethernet adapters availible when capturing
It seems unlikely to me that the packet.sys driver would be responsible for
presenting the list of ethernet adapters to the user.
For these reasons, I think either the NT installation has never really been
debugged, or the
web site download components are mismatched, or missing.

Hi.
It could be a problem of the packet driver.
What about launching WinDump?

Cheers,
