Thanks for the replies.  Dummy me thought the machine I was monitoring was
on the switch but it was still on the shared hub - so no wonder why I was
still seeing the packets.  I moved him to the switch and then all his packet
were not recordable by me.

Hey, switches do work!

Anyway, I'll check into the switch's settings if it can do VLAN port
monitoring... maybe that 3COM 3000 has that feature I don't know.
