What you should is tell us

	what operating system, and what version of that operating
	system, your machine is running (if the OS is a Linux
	distribution, "what operating system" should include which
	distribution it is, and "what version of that operating system"
	should include the version number of the distribution as well as
	the version number of the kernel);

	what the two networking devices are (not just the names, but
	what type of devices they are);

	which one you can't select;

	what happens if you try to select it (by "can't select" do you
	mean you can't select it from the combo box drop-down list with
	the mouse - if so, that may be a GTK+ toolkit problem, but note
	that you can just type the name of the device in that field - or
	do you mean you can select it, but if you try to start a capture
	with that device, Ethereal pops up an error message - if so,
	tell us what the exact error message is);

as there are probably many different problems that could cause this,
with different solutions (or perhaps with no solutions other than "make
Ethereal not show that device, as it doesn't support packet capture"),
and we need more information in order to figure out what the precise
problem is.
