I stand (sit) corrected. According to IBM's Networking page they just announced
a new TR adapter on Feb 29 of this year. 

As I recall, there was an announcement around the middle of last year that IBM
was going to drop out of the LAN market. Unfortunately I can't find any record
of the announcement at IBM. I did, however scrounge up the following link.
Hopefully this will at least prove I am not completely insane!
