I haven't really looked at your problem description, but in case you are
convinced that you are right: You can always just send a patch. There's
no requirement to open a bug first. Bugs are there to make sure problems
aren't forgotten, not for statistics. It would be nice though, if you
could provide a sample capture to the wiki's SampleCapture page.
