I work for a company that makes a network appliance used to
bridge legacy network protocols (SNA, X.25, BiSync, etc.) to IP

defined and called SyncSockets. This protocol is used on top of TCP.
Naturally, I went ahead and wrote a dissector plugin for this
protocol. I would like to submit this dissector to the project for
inclusion in subsequent releases of ethereal.

Is this of any interest to the Ethereal developers?

Sure. go ahead!

Ok...I just got a current source set from SVN and am compiling the
whole works. My dissector compiled and worked against SVN source
tarball 0.10.14-SVN-17203. I just want to make sure it works with
actual an actual SVN checkout. I've done quite a lot of testing
and used the randpkt method to make sure nothing bad happens. Once
I have a new build against the SVN checkout, I'll repeat my testing.
At that point I should be ready to make a submission.
