I messed with makefile.nmake and ended up loading the one from
http://www.ethereal.com/lists/ethereal-cvs/200511/msg00243.html then it
worked ???

Not really.
After a disclean I got the same error.
The pdb file is the program database file containing the debugging
symbols.
Unfortunately I don't have a clue what is going wrong here ...
