Hi!

A protocol dissector shouldn't contain any GTK code, for example: it won't run with tethereal as it has no GTK.

That's because you are getting the linker problems.

If you need something like this, first write a dissector that handles your protocol.

Then you may use the tapping system to add some GTK related things.
