Hi,

How do I identify which application does a TCP packet has as a payload? The payload of an tcp packet may contain an HTTP header or an ftp header (for eg.,). But, what fields (in ftp header/http header) can definitely say that the payload (message) is of type http or ftp…etc?

Thanks,

S.Srivathsan
