Hi,

We want to build a software package which can decode the
recorded traces of DCR RPC protocol between Client and Server.

Also the software package should be able to handle run time
features of the DCE RPC Protocol which we call as dynamic session
variables.

I want to do what this paper describes.

Regards

Deepak Bhatia

it means:
the code in ethereal can only be used for unmarshalling DCE/RPC
traffic, nothing else.
it implicitely means:
the codebase in ethereal for dce is the wrong codebase to start with
if you want a freestanding dce implementation capable of generating
dce traffic and interacting in a dce environment.

if you want to also marshall data and build a proper dce runtime the
code in ethereal is useless.

it would be much easier if you tell us why and for what you want to
use the code. today and in the future the dce support in ethereal is
and will remain limited to only do unmarshalling of dce interfaces.
(modulo somone with enourmous amounts of spare time and good
explanations of why full dce should be included in ethereal shows up)
