Hi,

I downloaded and installed "ethereal-setup-0.10.11-SVN-14358.exe" from the buildbot directory as you
suggested. I have looked at around 10 sample traces (all GSM SMS traffic) and they all seem to work fine. I
haven't analysed every bit and flag, but the addresses (including alphanumeric) and the actual text of the
messages, seem to be decoded properly.

Thanks very much for your efforts!

Regards,
/John.

Hi,
It should be fixed now if you could do some regression testing on the latest buildbot build
http://www.ethereal.com/distribution/buildbot-builds/
it would be great.
Best regards
Anders

Hi,

I'm not in a position to do any code changes, I don't have any kind of development environment on my windows
machine, but I'll happily do some testing if you folks can fix the problems.

It seems there are two separate issues:
1. a regression so that decoding SMS text no longer works.
2. an improvement to add the ability to decode alphanumeric SMS TP-Originating-Address

/John.

Hello,

Some time ago I've sent a patch to enable a proper deconding of an
alphanumeric 7-bit encoded SMS TP-Originating-Address. Here is the patch :

http://www.ethereal.com/lists/ethereal-dev/200502/msg00399.html

I've tested a local Ethereal build, which had applied the patch above,
the TP-OA has been decoded fine as "Asa".

Regards,

Viorel
