It appears that whatever version of "grep" you have might be printing out error messages containing the strings "unmatched" and "STDIN" when run by the "make-tapreg-dotc" script, rather than finding the appropriate text in various tap modules and printing that.

Do you have Cygwin installed?

If so, if you run, in a Cygwin window, from the "gtk" directory, the command

	grep '^register_tap_listener_[a-z_0-9A-Z]* *(' ansi_a_stat.c

what does it print?

What happens if you run it from a Command Prompt window?
