This is on my Mac:
Python 2.3 (#1, Sep 13 2003, 00:49:11) 
[GCC 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)] on darwin

I personally do not think it has something to do with python's
version. I think It's more likely to be either a bug in the script or
(most probably) that we  are doing something wrong.
