Hi!

I have similar cases where customers sending me very large capture files 
(usually CD-R), which I cannot open in Ethereal because of running out 
of memory (the known problem).

Of course, it would be much nicer being able to open them (which would 
be difficult), it will be a work-around to use splitcap for this purpose 
(the loss of conversation on file boundaries won't be a problem in my case).

So would it be a good idea to include splitcap into the main distribution?
