Not currently.


Was ethereal designed in a such way that it is possible to make a plugin
binary-compatible over (certain) ethereal versions?
No effort was made to do that. There will probably continue to be API changes in Ethereal until a 1.0 release is made (I have some API changes I plan to make, for example). I don't think we should make a 1.0 release until we think we have a reasonably stable API/ABI for plugins.
