Yes, I made some experiments with the original files. I didn't have so much spare time, so I just made some small tests.
I had some problem with crashes for some H.323 captures (when reading files and also when I used save), but for
other H.323 captures it was working good and seemed to be very useful.
I used the "example.thing" configuration file during my initial test, but will try to make some own configurations
file during my further tests.
I didn't have so much time to look into the crashes, but will probably try the newer patches in a few days.

I would really want to have it integrated into Ethereal after fixing the most important issues regarding integration.
I hope that someone has some time to help you with this.
Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge myself to help you with those details,
but I hope that I can help with adding more features to it later on.

There was a few things I had to change before I got compilation to work (Win32):
-I had to add thing_enabled and thing_prime_edt to "libethereal.def" file
-I also think I had to change some more small thing, but don't remember right now.
