Currently, AUTHORS-SHORT includes formatting codes, which is not what's wanted for the about dialog (sorry about that). This patch set creates AUTHORS-SHORT-FORMAT, which goes into the man page and html file; AUTHORS-SHORT reverts to being a UTF-8 file.
I've also shortened some of the lines in AUTHORS so they fit into the about dialog and ethereal.1 without wrapping. 

make-authors-short2.pl should be deleted.

Please could this patch set be checked in.
