Hello everybody!


I'd like to register a feature request: inserting comments while capturing.

I imagine that as working like
- starting a capture with ethereal
- using a hotkey (or a button) on the capture window to register a new comment
(eg. "machine is booting", "application started", "application crashed", 
"test-ping to x sent", etc.)
- then entering the text for this comment

Points to regard:
- It should be possible to register some comments and type the text later on
- Perhaps these comments should be written into the capture file as a special 
packet (some new protocol, perhaps?) with a fixed maximum size
- These comments should possibly be indexed and displayed in a listbox (on 
capture & viewing), so that going to a specific point is easy
- It should be possible to mark certain points and later setting the text - 
sometimes there's not much time between certain important points.
