Try doing a "cvs update" and a "make clean" and then try reconfiguring
and rebuilding - the default configuration option in the top-level
configuration file was to use GTK+/GLib 2.x, but the default
configuration option for wiretap was to use GLib 1.x, and the
combination appears to have caused crashes. Joerg Mayer checked in a
fix for that just now.

Also, make sure that there's no "epan/config.h" file - changes in the
past month or so got rid of it, so that the top-level "config.h" file is
used for epan, but if there's an "epan/config.h" left around, it might
provide incorrect configuration options.
