Hi List!

In general: how do the Ethereal different GTK versions should be versioned? It might be an idea to reflect this in the Ethereal's main version!?

It seem's to me, that the Ethereal version number V1.0 is prevented under any case ;-)
The versioning number 0.9.10 makes me think sometimes...
Some of my colleques were really astonished of the version number coming after 0.9.9 ;-)

As I 've read the "feature request list" (of Gerald?) for V1.0 quite a while ago, I think this feature complete version will be reached in year 2020 or maybe never,
if I see the progress of some of this features :-(

I think V1.0 was reached maybe a long time ago, even in the terms of an open source project :-)
Yes, there *is* a life after V1.0 ;-)

The reason I'm thinking about this: As we could declare this Ethereal version as V1.0, we could think of the GTK2 version as 1.9.0 for example.

Or is this a misinterpretation I've done, and we should only reflect this in the file name (and the about dialog)?

So it would be: ethereal._gtk1.exe and ethereal_gtk2.exe on the win32 platforms for example.
