Hi Ulf,

It looks promising, but I'd like some more UI feedback of the *active*
column. How difficult would it be to display the column contents in a
boldface font?

| | Hi List! | | As the "but displayed packets only" checkbox seem's to be confusing, | | After thinking about this for a while now, I've made a glade | prototype,
| how the packet range frame could look like.
| | | | This is only the packet range frame, not the whole dialog ;-) | | The Captured and Displayed buttons are toggle buttons, which | act almost | the same way as the radio buttons,
| only one at a time can be active.
| | Only one of the two packet count columns will be sensitive, | corresponding to the pressed toggle button. | | If one of the counts is zero, it will be insensitive (grayed). | | The "Specify a packet range" text entry will only be active, if the | corresponding radio button is active. | | Defaults will be "All packets" and Captured. | | Is this a solution everybody can live with, or does someone | has an even | better idea? | | Regards, ULFL |
You cannot see this in the proposal, as glade doesn't show "grayed things".
But in "real life", when the inactive column becomes insensitive (grayed out), it's really obvious to see.

I'm unsure how to use a boldface font in an GTK1 label, I'm unsure if it can be done at all.
