I verified that 0.12.1 doesn't require msvcr70.dll on my system. The
0.12.1 runtime archive is now on the server and listed in README.win32.
The gettext source lists "bug-gnu-gettext@xxxxxxx" as the place to send
bug reports. I've CC'ed them on this message.
BTW, MS KB article 326922 recommends distributing msvcr70.dll with each
application (as opposed to the older msvcrt.dll). I'm not sure that's
necessary in our case since we're not using .NET.
Good catch, guys.

Hi!
When using this version of the intl.dll, I have no problems as MSVCR70.dll isn't required!
So should we better go back to this former version? And put this on the distribution page on www.ethereal.com?
I have no idea, where to send an email to, telling the gnu people about this problem in gettext version 0.13.

I beleave the problems start, but looking at the link to "gettext package" on
http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads.html
it actually points to:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gettext/gettext-runtime-0.12.1.bin.woe32.zip
which seems to be replaced by :
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gettext/
the new file. Perhaps we should try and get hold of the old one or get the "gnu" people to fix it?
I have included it if you want to try it out.

Subject: [Ethereal-dev] Problems with MSVCR70.dll
Hi List!
After updating to the latest win32 dlls from www.ethereal.com,
the MSVCR70.dll (ms visual C runtime dll) is required to run ethereal.exe.
I think, this is the debugging lib from the Visual Studio .net (Version 7.0).
This is not only true for debugging the exe, but also required for normal runtime!
As I'm still compiling with the Version 6.0, this must be coming from another dll.
Have a short look with the "Dependency Walker", intl.dll from gettext-runtime-0.13.bin.woe32.zip is requiring this dll.
What should we do with this topic?
Regards, ULFL
