Great, so I have agreement on that feature in principle? :)

Agreement of the usefulness of having a scroll/don't scroll feature during capture. While I have little use for the stats myself, I wasn't neccessarily proposing that they go away entirely, just that they not be a seperate window.

Do people find the seperate window useful? I.e. is anyone leaving it floating up in the corner, so they can keep an eye on it?

I like having the protocol counts, it makes it easy in most cases to know if the event you're looking for has occured. Other than that, I like the idea.

Any chance of having a captive, non-modal dialog box? ISTR GTK makes it difficult.

I have zero knowledge of the toolkit at this point, which is one of the reasons I wanted to poll the list about my suggestion.
