That's exactly what I was thinking about, as I tried to see the GUI with "novice" eyes.

Hmm, that sounds to me, that "Packet " will be a more generic way to name things at the "user interface level". So I think we don't have to rename things in the future again, when layer 2-x decoding and handling stuff will be available. The term "Packet" will fit in these cases also (hopefully).

As I'm currently redesign some of the dialog boxes (print, capture options, help, ...), it would be a good thing to start already with the correct terms, to avoid double work.

So is it ok to rename the appropriate items in the menu, all dialogs and such from "Frame" to "Packet"?
