I added configure support for glib2/gtk2. Can you please run ./autogen.sh
and check whether the problem still occurs afterwards? autogen.sh needs
to be run only once (or until you install/delete one of the following
packages: gtk+, glib2, gtk+v2). There are other times when you may want
to run autogen.sh, but they haven't changed for the last few releases.
Please report back your results.

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
