Ethereal-dev: [Ethereal-dev] Not building on Redhat 7.1

I checked out the CVS tip, and I've been trying to find a way to build it.
I've followed the directions in the anon CVS. The "./autogen.sh" and
"./configure" steps appear to work OK, but the resulting Makefile has
errors in it. I have tried this with no arguments to either of the above
scripts. Here's what I end up with:

[root@pluto ethereal]# make
Makefile:2077: *** missing separator.  Stop.

Here's that part of the Makefile (2077 is the first "@AMDEP_TRUE@" line) :

distclean-compile:
	-rm -f *.tab.c

@AMDEP_TRUE@@am__include@ @am__quote@$(DEPDIR)/afn.Po@am__quote@
@AMDEP_TRUE@@am__include@ @am__quote@$(DEPDIR)/asn1.Po@am__quote@
@AMDEP_TRUE@@am__include@ @am__quote@$(DEPDIR)/capture.Po@am__quote@

Any ideas? Is there a list of required development packages I can check?

I am trying to test a patch which will add another decode to packet-smb.c.
