FYI, this feature is also supported on Windows with the NetMon driver and as Ethereal can support this driver...

Very interesting... this package looks like it my be very useful as something to integrate within ethereal.

In fact, it might be a reasonable way to separate the requirement for ethereal to run as root to do captures, just capture from a remote source.
