Hello,

I’m currently in the middle of writing a plug-in and I’m having problem over writing the Info column using the col_set_str() interface.

 

The stack looks like

 (plug-in) dissect_smartfx().

dissector_try_port()

dissect_pgm()

dissector_try_port()

dissect_ip()

 

Now dissect_pgm() can over write both the Protocol and Info columns but dissect_smartfx() cannot overwrite either columns (even when pinfo->fd->cinfo->writeable or check_col() is true).

 

So before I continue debugging this I wanted to run it by you to see if this was a know problem or a simple pilot error….. Thanks in advance….
