Is there currently any way for a dissector to report summary statistics (i.e. # of packets dropped) and that sort of thing? For instance, RTP packet loss can be determined by a skipped number in the RTP packet sequence number (i.e. if a packet showed up with a sequence number of 5, then the next one with 7, you know that packet 6 was dropped). It'd really be nice if dissectors could specfiy a global summary function.
If anyone is interested in in designing/implementing this with me, let me know. If there's already something like this in place, let me know that too!
