I just committed some changes to make the capture preferences
part of the preferences file. I hope this doesn't cause you
too much trouble. The changes to prefs.* are localized so you
should be able to incorporated them without too much trouble.

This change will save the capture preferences for the four check
boxes in the capture dialog box. It needs some more work. I'm
just not sure where to apply the work. Should we add a "save 
preferences" button to the capture dialog or should we add a
tab to the Preferences dialog box.

For now, the user can set the capture preferences then do a
save in the Preferences dialog to save these settings.
