Some OSes on which it won't work, but on which Ethereal works, come from
Redmond, Washington, USA; unfortunately, whilst you can implement some
of "getifaddrs()" on Windows NT by fetching stuff from the registry (you
can get one IP address and IP subnet mask per interface, at least; I
don't have NT running on my home machine right now, so I can't see if
the broadcast address or P2P destination address can be fetched from the
registry, and I'm not sure the interface flags exist in a BSDish fashion
in NT), I've yet to find any way of doing that in Windows 9x.
