Dear all,

Ethereal was used at the first SCTP bakeoff for dissecting SCTP. So I
would like to point out two improvements which we found to be helpful.
1. A restart button to simply restart the capturing using the same
settings as before.
2. The possibility to capture from more than one interface. This would be
extremely
   helpful for SCTP since SCTP suppports multihoming.

Furthermore I'm currently doing a complete rewrite of the SCTP dissector
I wrote to
make use of the tvbuff stuff. I simplifies the dissector a lot and
depends heavily on it.
But how can I raise an exception manually?

The last question I have is dealing with the IP dissector. Is anyone
adapting it to the tvbuff structure? Or should one contribute
modifictions to it regarding some kind of error handling: for example
handling of wrong length field or padding at the end of short IP datagrams?

PS: When will the next version of Ethereal be available? I would like to
post the SCTP
dissector in time such that it can be included in Ethereal 0.8.10.
