I can't find the message in which you asked for write access to the CVS
tree; I did find a message in which you said

which I read as implying you were planning on sending the files to the
list, presumably so that we can add them to the repository for you.

If you're adding files, but not changing any ".c" or ".h" files, the
"diff" to send would be diffs to "Makefile.am" and "Makefile.nmake";
send context diffs or unified diffs. ("Makefile.in" and "Makefile" are
generated files, so the diffs to them aren't interesting.)

I'm not the person who controls write access to the CVS tree, and I
don't know what the policy is for when somebody moves from "sends
patches to the list" to "checks code in"; Gerald? Gilbert?
