Not really specific to ethereal, but relevant:
Related to this issue with the control characters - is there any way
with GTK to insert a "pseudo" character into a text field? The easiest
visual example I can think of is when you view control characters in
word/wordperfect/etc. - you'll see a control G show up as <bel>, but
when you're selecting that text - you can't select just the <, it
selects it as if it were a single entity.
Alternatively, is there a widget that might allow this sort of thing?
