Hi,

I am experiencing core dumps in Ethereal 0.8.1 in both the SMB decode and
the Telnet decode ... It happens when I select a field in the tree view.

It does not always happen, and I am trying to figure out if the problem
relates to bugs, in particular if I have incorrect values for the offset
and length parameters for a proto_tree_add_text call, or is it just a bug
in GTK or Ethereal?

BTW, TurboLinux ships Ethereal with their OS.  Their latest version
includes 0.7.9.
