Not being an autoconf expert, after I update the
cvs version (I found annoying bugs in 0.8.1, might as
well work with the newest stuff) I get:
./configure: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_PATH_GLIB(1.2.0,'
./configure: ./configure: line 1330: `AM_PATH_GLIB(1.2.0, , { echo "configure: error: GLib distribution not found." 1>&2; exit 1; }, gmodule)'

I have a pretty full gnome installation (and had no problem building
0.8.1)

I have glib 1.2.6 installed...
