	I grabbed the latest tree (including change to configure.in),
	and tried to rebuild, and it build just fine (on NetBSD/i386 1.4.1,
	with libtool 1.3.4).
	it may be becaues of configure.in change, or some other change in
	the tree.  thanks for your help.
