This would go along with the new match_selected functionality in a
way...

It would be nice if right-clicking or double-clicking on a given field
would give you information about that field - basically everything that
is in the hf_register_info structure. 

It could be done with balloon popups, but that would be annoying most
likely. 

I've got example gtk+ double click code for clists if you need it.

On a related note, one nice feature of windowmaker and enlightement is
showing the full name of a titlebar/menu in a popup balloon, something
similar might be nice for showing any of the columns of the capture info
if they are too narrow. Just hold the mouse over the element
momentarily, and it will show the whole string. 

Just some ideas.
